Free Public Muay Thai Event in Buri Ram Thailand. Sponsored by Nak Muay Foundation; Organizes by Frances of Wor Watthana Muay Thai Orphanage
On July 1 & 2 2023, Nak Muay Foundation Sponsored a our second community show in rural Buri Ram Thailand. The event was organized by Francis of Wor Watthana Muay Thai Orphange. This woman is such an inspiration to us. We seen her life first hand and sleep doesn’t come easy, she is working around the clock taking care of the kids in her sanctuary. From morning food shopping at the local markets, getting them to school, caring for a sick one at the time, running practice, preparing dinner and other activities for the children. Really cant say enough good things about her.
They also have a camp for any Nak Muay who would want to come train and fight alongside the orphanage team in a once in a lifetime experience. Last time we were there a beautiful lighting storm came while training, amazing landscape out in the country to train in.
Community Enrichment Where it Matters Most
Saturday July 1 consisted about 115 Muay Thai Bouts in the town of Mueang Buriram - Lampuk, in Isan Province Thailand; approx 5.5 hours drive from Bangkok. Isan is known as the poorest province in Thailand, with half of Thailand's eight provinces with chronic poverty were in Isan (Wikipedia). This is why we are proud to use the funds we have raised to give back to this community.

All Aspects of the Sport
Creating a Muay Thai event has a lot of moving parts. At this show there was parking security, food vendors, Sound and music equipment personnel, boxing officials, boxing ring construction workers, live music (Sarama) band, lighting, announcers, etc… All of which was paid from the donations of Nak Muay Foundation
115 bouts in one day, every Athlete, & Official paid, Free for local vendors; supporting the Muay Thai communities livelihood
Thanks to our small amount of donors for believing in our goals. Majority of the funding came from the Point Muay Thai circuit in California and Texas. This event lasted from 9AM till 1AM. Seeing the community and all the family and fans enjoying the bouts cheering on their favorites made all our efforts worth it. The skill level and passion of the athletes in this area is remarkable. They are all trying to make it to fight in the bog stadiums in Bangkok. This is where we can help to make their dreams come true

Nak Muay Outreach Nairobi, Kenya
In June 2022, we went to Nairobi Kenya to meet Coach Allen. We met Coach Allen through Muay Thai athlete Jordan Minns of LOV Movement, make sure to click and give them a follow. Coach Allen is a skilled Muay Thai coach in an Nyama Villa, Kayole area previously deemed a “No Go Zone” in Nairobi. A land dispute left hundreds homeless and refugees from war in neighboring countries took up residence in the area. You can see some video of the Gyms Location Below
He has been teaching community children free of charge and opened his house to the community to coach Muay Thai.
We helped Coach Allen with some great gear from Mongol Muay Thai and Authentic Muay Thai Supply. After hearing Coach Allen’s aspirations for his community we decided to help build a roof, make a welded bag rack, and concrete the rest of his gyms floor. His Gym, NFC (Niarobi Fighting Championship) Muay Thai gym, is still in need of a bathroom and changing rooms.

Summary
We been busy the past couple months in California working with Kru and gyms across the west coast of United States. This month we travel to Texas and continue to promote Muay Thai to the world. December and January we extend our services to India and Philippines, where we hope to find some passionate kru and nak muay we can help in their journey. Jun-July we will travel to Thailand to give opportunities to Cali Nak Muay to train in Thailand, with a pit stop in Accra, Ghana for a Mat flooring donation.

Donations and Projects
This month we will donate to our local Wat in California and to Isaan Thailand at War Watthana muay thai orphanage. We have a trip to thailand planned for june-july, where we will bring some USA Nak Muay to train in Thailand. This trip will include a stop in Accra, Ghana, where we will deliver some mats to Point Muay Thai Ghana; an organization that has become a driving force for Muay Thai in Africa.

Summary
Greatings from Chiang Mai, Thailand! In July one of our members went to Thailand to visit Wor. Watthana Muay Thai Orphanage in Isan. However the Covid situation had made traveling very difficult, so we hope next time we can get up to Isan and meet the people there. We had a generous donation from Madera Martial Arts after a great Point Muay Thai Event in Madera, CA. We looked for local Wat and asked advice from our local Muay Thai Community about which Wat we could donate too. We chose 3 Wat in close proximity to Muay Thai events in order to give back to the local communitie’s cultural hubs.

The end of July ended with is making donations to a few local Wat. Since we had gotten a donation from Madera Martial arts after their Point Muay Thai show, we donated to the closest Wat to their location.
